About Wahed: The global financial system wasn't built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values. At Wahed, we're changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system - one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible, from pioneering Shariah-compliant equity ETFs, creating riba-free alternatives to high yield savings accounts, to creating no-leverage real estate investments for truly interest-free income producing assets. If you're driven to solve complex problems and believe finance should empower, not exclude, join us in building a more equitable financial future. Job Description: • Conduct Know Your Business (KYB) due diligence checks on prospective and existing vendors, reviewing documentation submitted by the Manager to identify and assess risk. • Complete due diligence reviews within a reasonable timeframe of 1-2 business days from receipt of complete documentation. • Liaise directly with vendors, where authorised by the Manager, to obtain any outstanding information or documentation required for onboarding. • Act as designated owner of the Vendor Master, creating and maintaining vendor records and ensuring information is accurately and promptly reflected throughout the vendor lifecycle. • Record vendor criticality classifications and supporting rationale in the Vendor Master, based on determinations communicated by the Local Compliance Team and Country Head. • Share due diligence findings with the Local Compliance Team and support resolution of any requests for further documentation. • Facilitate rectification of, and updates to, the Vendor Master where inconsistencies are identified during monthly compliance reviews. • Proactively track vendor agreement expiry dates and initiate the renewal or termination process no later than one month prior to expiry. • Consult with Managers on renewal, renegotiation, or termination decisions, and liaise with the Legal team to prepare any required documentation. • Confirm final renewal, renegotiation, or termination decisions in writing to the Local Compliance Team and Country Head, and update the Vendor Master with the relevant decision and status.
