Lab Chemist

Job Family Group: Operations Group Job Description: This role will be conducting lab tests on raw materials, in-process products and finish goods, ensuring RM/product release in time, recording test data accurately, analyzing results against standards, and supporting quality control objectives. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab protocols to maintain reliable test outcomes. What you will deliver 1. Participate in routine test, manage shift team to execute daily Lab working in safe and time manner and ensure all shift activities fully compliance with plant safety and quality policy. 2. Safely manage Lab chemical especially precursor chemical, and ensure its compliance to local government regulation. 3. Be responsible for Lab personal training about safety, test method and equipment operation. 4. Assist Lab Supervisor to implement quality system in daily operation. Monitor Lab daily operation and ensure the smooth running of procedures. 5. Assist to handle trouble-shooting product quality problems. Suggest correction for off-specification product based on Lab blend study if necessary. 6. Handle technical problem in testing activities and ensure the tests are performed properly 7. Be responsible for evaluating and maintaining raw material testing standards to ensure that all incoming raw materials meet BP quality standards. 8. Conduct regular calibration and maintenance of Lab equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability 9. Be involved in internal and external audit, such as ISO 9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001, ISO45001, OEM customer audit, and participate in action to close the gap as well. 10. Manage documentation for all testing activities, including testing record, COA, SOP, WI etc. What you will need to be successful 1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineer, chemistry or related fields. 2.1-3 years lab experience in manufacturing operations. 3. Be familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO45001. 4. Written and spoken English. 5.Be familiar with office software and business-related digital systems (e.g. JDE, LIMS, WMS, etc.). 6.Strong teamwork and communication skills You will work with 1. Work with Plant Department to ensure the safety daily operation, the implement of safety and quality requirement in every stage of plant activity, such as purchase, receiving, production, quality control, product delivery. 2. Work with GSC QC, Technology, TSE and Sales team to provide technical support and test after sale. 3. Work with Logistics to ensure the delivery of COA to customer in time manner. 4. Work with other Plants or the 3rd party test bureau to ensure inter-Lab communication and good operation of cross test.
