Job Description This is a remote position. Our client, an international logistics organization , is recruiting for a Last-Mile Market Expansion Consultant to join their business in Austria. Position Title Last-Mile Market Expansion Consultant Position Type Freelance Start Date ASAP Location Austria (remote) Contact: Bianca Papa | +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 673 We are looking for a seasoned Last-Mile Market Expansion Consultant to support Client’s entry and growth in the Austria logistics market. This individual will play a critical role in building the last-mile delivery network from the ground up, with a strong focus on operational setup, local partner acquisition, and resource alignment. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the local last-mile ecosystem and a wide network of DSPs (Delivery Service Providers), couriers, and relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis on Austria’s last-mile delivery landscape Identify local trends, pain points, and opportunities within the e-commerce logistics sector Develop and propose a practical last-mile expansion strategy tailored to the Austrian market Build the initial delivery network: identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with local DSPs Recommend and support the setup of key operational sites (hubs, drop-off points, lockers, etc.) Support recruitment of local operational personnel and supervisors Work closely with Client’s regional teams to ensure alignment with overall expansion roadmap Assist with legal, compliance, and commercial negotiations where required Provide ongoing consultation during the initial operational ramp-up phase Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or last-mile delivery in Austria Proven track record of setting up or scaling last-mile operations in a local or regional role Deep understanding of Austria’s courier, e-commerce, and logistics service provider landscape Strong network of DSPs, independent delivery agents, or fleet operators Familiarity with operational metrics, cost structures, and regulatory considerations Excellent communication skills in English and German Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross- cultural environment Previous consulting or business development experience in logistics or e-commerce Experience working with international logistics brands or startups entering new For more details contact: sales(at)manningglobal.com Quoting reference: AU_MGBP_LMMEC Or call Bianca on: +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 673 View our latest jobs: www.manningglobal.com Follow us on twitter: #manningglobal If you know of anyone within your network who may also be interested in this position, would you please forward this ‘Email & Role’ to them.
