Lead Accountant - Remote Colombia

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Lead Accountant to support the financial operations of our U.S.-based hospitality company. Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Review revenue reports, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare month-end close, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (Contaduría Pública) is required.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical.
• Quick learner with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Passion for numbers with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is required.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required.

• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills (spoken and written) are required.

• Based in Colombia with the ability to work remotely.
• Valid U.S. visa and willingness to travel to the United States when required.

Salary Range: COP $6,500,000 – $8,500,000 per month (based on experience)

Location: Remote (Colombia)
