Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

The Shared Applications and Services (SAS) organization was created in 2023 to manage shared tools across the bank, such as workflow platforms, document systems, and process automation. Within SAS, the Workflow Tribe delivers secure, scalable workflow solutions and plays a key role in driving innovation and agility across the bank. It works in an agile setup with Squads and Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to support collaboration and continuous delivery.

The Workflow Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving enterprise‑grade workflow solutions that orchestrate business processes across systems, teams, and domains. The role acts as the bridge between business needs and technical execution, ensuring workflows are scalable, compliant, and reusable across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end workflow architectures using BPMN, aligned with platforms such as Camunda, uFlow, or dbFlow
• Translate business requirements and operational rules into clear, configurable workflow models (sequential and parallel)
• Define architectural standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for workflow modeling and execution
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and DevOps to ensure correct implementation and adoption
• Ensure workflows meet security, audit, resiliency, and regulatory compliance requirements

Skills

• Strong expertise in BPMN and workflow‑driven system design
• Hands‑on experience with workflow engines (e.g. Camunda or similar platforms)
• Solid understanding of system integration, APIs, and event‑driven architectures
• Experience working in complex, regulated enterprise environments
• Ability to communicate architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with banking or financial services process automation
• Familiarity with Cloud‑based architectures (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Exposure to process governance, versioning, and lifecycle management
• Experience defining KPIs and monitoring execution
• Knowledge of audit, risk, and compliance processes
