Lead Commercial Litigator (Federal Practice) — Remote An established law firm with a national practice is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigator to join our team. This role is driven by the retirement of a senior attorney and offers the opportunity to step into an active, high-quality litigation practice representing businesses in complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract and civil fraud matters, across multiple jurisdictions in the United States. The Role This is a senior-level position for a litigator with approximately 10+ years of experience who is capable of independently managing and driving cases, including strategy, motion practice, discovery, and coordination with clients and co-counsel. The position is remote, with travel as needed for hearings, depositions, and proceedings. The firm regularly works with local counsel for pro hac vice admissions in various jurisdictions. This role is best suited for a litigator who enjoys hands-on practice, autonomy, and direct responsibility for case outcomes. What We Offer Base salary: $200,000 Performance bonus: up to $40,000 Additional compensation flexibility for candidates with a portable book of business A lean, sophisticated litigation platform without large-firm bureaucracy The opportunity to take ownership of matters and play a central role in case strategy and client relationships A practice focused on substantive commercial disputes, not volume-driven litigation What We’re Looking For Approximately 10+ years of commercial litigation experience Federal court experience, including motion practice and case management Demonstrated ability to run cases independently Strong legal writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills High degree of professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability Comfort operating in a remote, self-directed environment Experience with general commercial or transactional matters is a plus, but not required. We maintain high client service standards, including timely communication and responsiveness. Additional Considerations Candidates with an existing book of business are welcome.
