As a Lead Engineer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot Build and maintain microservices architecture for scalable applications Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and architects Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Optimize application performance and ensure high availability Support deployment and release activities Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it. Required Technical and Professional Experience 6 to 8 Years of overall experience as a Lead Engineer / Senior Software Engineer Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above) Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA Solid front-end exposure using React•Strong experience in microservices architecture and REST API development Good understanding of API design, versioning, and documentation Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL Working knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (basic to intermediate understanding) Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Banking / BFSI domain experience is highly preferred Prior experience handling high-volume, high-availability enterprise systems Experience playing a technical lead role with ownership of design and delivery Being You The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
