Position Title: Lead Engineer, Modernized Software Baseline Position Title: Lead Engineer, Modernized Software Baseline Location: REMOTE (U.S) Clearance: Secret SUMMARY The Air Force C2SET (Command and Control Simulation, Emulation, and Training) program delivers advanced constructive M&S capabilities to support realistic operational training, scenario analysis, and decision support for Air Operations Centers (AOC) and Joint/Coalition warfighters. Through agile, DevSecOps-driven sustainment and modernization, C2SET absorbs and replaces legacy AFMSTT systems, integrates with Air, Space, and Cyberspace enterprise environments, and advances the state of theater-wide constructive warfare models—including AI/ML-based analysis and rapid response to evolving missions. The effort involves enhancement, fielding, and sustainment of complex software suites across cloud, containerized, and secure environments worldwide, directly supporting the training and readiness of U.S. and coalition commanders "This includes, but is not limited to: The development, maintenance, and modernization of M&S software that runs scenarios capable of handling operationally realistic complex theater warfare models... The simulation and stimulation of AOC WS and other JFACC and coalition applications as required." The scope of this work will cover C2SET development, maintenance, sustainment, modifications, model development, operational changes, security software changes, certifications, test, fielding, installation, training, data support, help desk, operational support, and reach back activities. ** This position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated start date is 1 November. Summary of Duties: Lead the design and development of advanced, modernized C2SET modeling and simulation capabilities (AFSIM, Python, C++, etc.) for next-generation operational and training environments. Architect the integration of new model behaviors to represent operationally relevant capabilities, including the use of M&S frameworks and AI/ML-driven approaches. Implement cloud-based services, RESTful architectures, and agile full-stack solutions in alignment with evolving mission and integration needs "Design and architect model behaviors to represent operationally relevant capabilities in AFSIM or other M&S frameworks." Qualifications & Experience: At least 7 years’ software development experience with C++, AFSIM, Python, web services, or similar languages/frameworks. Experience implementing and integrating solutions on AWS, Azure, or similar platforms, and with RESTful architectures. Minimum 2 years of military planning, operations, or wargaming experience. Demonstrated expertise designing and developing modernized model behaviors in M&S environments. Why join TTC?
