Role Description The Lead Forward Deployed Engineer, Hospitality will work closely with hospitality clients to design, build, and deploy technology solutions that support operations, guest experiences, and backoffice processes. This full-time remote role involves leading technical discovery with stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable software architectures, and implementing back-end services and integrations with existing systems. The person in this role will develop and maintain high-quality code, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with consulting and operations teams, ensuring secure and reliable deployments, documenting technical decisions, and mentoring other engineers on best practices. Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, integrating with databases, and working with cloud-based services.
Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development and Programming skills, using modern languages and frameworks to deliver production-quality solutions.
Candidates should possess solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, applying design patterns and clean architecture principles to complex systems.
Experience leading technical projects or teams and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders in hospitality or related industries.
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment, with strong communication and documentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration of third-party hospitality or property management systems is beneficial.
