The Role Your role As a Testing professional at Kyndryl, you will plan, develop, execute, and document testing for a Kyndryl client’s embedded, Linux, cloud-edge, real-time, platform, and software-product environments. This role supports kernel-level, BSP-level, platform-level, integration, regression, system, simulation, and certification-aligned testing, including verification and validation activities where applicable. What you will do Plan, develop, and execute test cases and test suites for embedded Linux, platform software, and multi-architecture system environments. Create and execute kernel-level, BSP-level, system-level, integration, regression, and platform validation tests. Troubleshoot system issues, validate functionality across diverse platforms and configurations, document defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to support resolution. Support verification and validation activities, test planning, test execution, defect management, code validation, certification artifacts, audit evidence, and certification review support where applicable. Coordinate with software engineering, DevOps, product, support, certification, and delivery teams to ensure testing activities support project schedules and quality expectations. Maintain high-quality documentation for test cases, test results, defects, validation results, and quality evidence. Required skills and experience 8+ years of experience. Experience in embedded software testing, Linux system testing, BSP testing, kernel testing, platform validation, integration testing, or system-level software quality engineering. Strong programming and operating-systems knowledge, including Linux, C/C++, scripting, debugging, test automation, embedded tools, and hardware/software integration. Experience documenting test cases, defects, test results, technical findings, validation evidence, and quality artifacts. Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, support, DevOps, certification, and delivery teams to resolve technical issues and meet schedules. Preferred skills and experience Experience with verification and validation, DO-178C, safety certification, software quality assurance, Design Assurance Level concepts, audit-readiness, or compliance documentation. Familiarity with Git, Polarion, Kubernetes, containers, simulation environments, DevOps testing workflows, Linux platforms, BSPs, and real-time systems. Experience testing mission-critical embedded software in aerospace, defense, automotive, telecom, industrial, medical, or intelligent-edge environments.
