Become a part of our caring community The Lead Quality Engineer carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The Lead Quality Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. As a Lead Marketing Data Quality Engineer, you will perform and lead testing coordination, planning, and execution of data to ensure proper development of business requirements and that no defects are introduced. May create test data for data validation. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and recommends possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to product owners to continuously improve the level of detail provided so that fewer defects are found in lower environments. Performs complex work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a testing or quality assurance role within a data-driven environment. Sponsorship is not available for this position (e.g. H-1B, E-3, TN, 0-1, STEM OPT, or any immigration work authorization requiring a written submission from the company to a government agency). Only candidates with Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency in the U.S. will be considered. Role Responsibilities You’ll manage the testing validation lifecycle of data products that support marketing initiatives , customer acquisition, member identification and profile management, and patient onboarding, engagement, retention, and satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: Define and Prioritize Data Product Validation Scenarios and Cases Collaborate with product owners and data stewards to understand business user stories to ensure appropriate testing is taking place Write test cases and test steps in ADO, including both positive and negative test scenarios Coordinate with development team and scrum leader to ensure defined release scope and any changes are regularly communicated to stakeholders Own the Data Product Test Plans Create test plans in ADO for each release Make recommendations on testing priorities to meet release date commitments Coordinate with product owners as they develop and maintain strategic roadmaps to deliver operational and regulatory requirements, customer acquisition, member identification and profile management, and patient onboarding, engagement, retention, and satisfaction. Write and modify SQL queries to support data validation, product performance analysis, and collaboration with analytics teams and downstream data consumers. Lead Data Product Validation Execution Serve as the primary liaison for Agile delivery teams, facilitating test planning, test case, test case execution, and test data creation Drive testing timelines ensure timely updates on progress, blockers, and delivery milestones. Remove roadblocks to testing completion, including access requests, missing test data, missing data to support test scenarios, requirements clarifications, etc. Validate requirements, accept completed work, and ensure deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria. Collaborate Across Functions Partner with engineering, analytics, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that have been validated and are free of defects. Work with upstream and downstream systems and vendors to ensure test data is provided for end-to-end validation Collaborate closely with Agile delivery teams to confirm that features are tested appropriately and quality standards are met before release. Monitor Product Performance Track usage, adoption, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Act as the first line of defense for operational issues related to Marketing Data Products. Governance Ensure consistency and accuracy in testing documentation and reporting systems to support transparency and accountability. Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulatory and legal standards. Documentation and Enablement Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including product test plans, text cases, test steps, testing support requirements, testing execution, etc. to ensure quality data products are being delivered on time. Use your skills to make an impact Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Or, 10 years of related experience without a degree. 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, testing validation, quality assurance, or a related role within a data-driven environment. 2+ years of project / product / or testing leadership experience Proven experience working in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe), including writing test cases, test planning, test data creation, test execution, and testing outcomes. Demonstrated ability to prioritize testing around business strategies and planned product delivery Experience managing test plans , test coordination across teams, and tracking test outcomes to recommend improvements to reduce defects. Familiarity with data platforms and analytics tools . Excellent communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, analytics, and business teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act as a first responder for operational issues. Working knowledge of SQL , with the ability to write and modify queries to support data validation, product performance analysis, and collaboration with analytics teams. Assertive and willing to take initiative to keep progress moving forward through relentless follow up Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred: Experience with Databricks Master’s degree in a relevant field or MBA with a focus on marketing or technology. Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems , including segmentation, targeting, and campaign measurement. Prior experience working with enterprise-level marketing IT systems and vendor-managed solutions. Knowledge of customer lifecycle management and growth strategies across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops , or similar Agile project management tools. Experience in modernizing legacy systems or integrating upstream data sources into scalable platforms. Experience with data user story acceptance testing and post-production validation. Certification in Agile Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM) or related disciplines. Experience with healthcare data. Additional Information This position may require travel 1-2 times a year. This position operates under Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $117,600 - $161,700 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
