About You We are seeking a highly experienced Lead SAP Security Engineer to drive the security strategy, architecture, and execution across our global SAP landscape, including S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) . This role operates at a senior level , responsible for defining security standards, guiding large-scale transformation programs, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory and audit requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP security expertise combined with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence enterprise-wide security strategy. You will play a critical role in shaping secure digital transformation initiatives, enabling scalable and compliant solutions, and mentoring a global team of SAP security professionals. In this role you will: Leadership & Strategy Define and drive the SAP security strategy and roadmap across S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP BTP platforms Act as the central authority for SAP security architecture, governance, and standards globally Provide strategic advisory to senior leadership on risk posture, compliance, and security optimization Lead and mentor a global SAP security team, ensuring capability development and best practices adoption Architecture & Design Design and oversee enterprise-wide SAP security architecture, including role-based access control and identity integration Lead the security design for S/4HANA transformations, Fiori deployments, and cloud-native BTP solutions Establish secure-by-design principles for SAP projects and system integrations Drive standardization and simplification of role design and authorization frameworks Governance, Risk & Compliance Own SAP-related SoD governance, access controls, and regulatory compliance (SOX, ITGC, audit frameworks) Lead risk assessments, control design, and remediation strategies across the SAP ecosystem Partner with Internal Audit and control teams to ensure audit readiness and sustainable compliance Oversee emergency access management, user provisioning workflows, and access certifications Program & Delivery Leadership Lead security workstreams for large SAP transformation programs (e.g., S/4 conversions, divestitures, integrations) Ensure alignment between business requirements and secure system design across global deployments Drive cross-functional collaboration with BASIS, Architecture, IAM, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders Manage vendor partners and ensure quality delivery and adherence to security standards Operations & Continuous Improvement Oversee SAP security operations including access provisioning, incident response, and vulnerability management Drive automation and optimization of security processes using GRC/IGA tools (e.g., Pathlock, SAP GRC) Establish KPIs and metrics for security posture, compliance, and operational efficiency Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in SAP security practices Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Fluent English 8–12+ years of SAP Security experience, including leadership or lead architect responsibilities Deep expertise in: SAP S/4HANA Security & Authorization concepts Fiori Security (catalogs, groups, OData services, UI roles) SAP BTP Security (IAS, IPS, role collections, identity federation) Strong understanding of: SoD frameworks, ITGC controls, and compliance regulations (SOX preferred) SAP security architecture and integration with enterprise IAM solutions Proven ability to lead global teams and complex transformation programs Excellent stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills Preferred Qualifications SAP Security, GRC, or Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., SAP GRC, CISM, CISSP) Experience with Pathlock, SAP GRC Access Control, or other IGA tools Exposure to cloud security architectures and Zero Trust models Experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs or migrations Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and automation within SAP environments Led by Purpose.
