Lead Software Engineer (.NET & Angular) You might be our missing piece if you have: 6+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on C# and .NET backend work IoT experience is mandatory for this role: you have built or operated device-to-cloud solutions — telemetry ingestion, event-driven processing, device identity and lifecycle, and the realities of intermittent connectivity from the field Proven experience designing and building cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure: App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus and Azure IoT Hub Solid frontend experience with Angular — the web application is an Angular SPA with advanced dashboarding and management functionality. React is a strong plus Technical leadership: you set and defend technical direction, run code reviews, define quality and engineering standards, make architecture decisions and own their consequences. You act as the technical point of reference for the team Team leading abilities: you support and plan the work of a small team against time and quality targets, drive team from a technical perspective and actively support the growth of the people around you Experience with event-driven architecture, and with decoupling product-specific code from reusable platform components Considering you will work with physical devices, Cluj-Napoca location si mandatory and you shoud be open to office days You have a sense of belonging when reading about our culture We would be thrilled if you have: Experience with BLE / Bluetooth Low Energy or Bluetooth Mesh connected devices, or with mobile-as-gateway architectures Experience integrating a subscription or billing engine and handling recurring subscription flows Experience extracting a reusable platform out of an existing product codebase — a platform-engineering mindset Background in hardware-enabled SaaS, industrial or construction technology Experience mentoring or coaching engineers, or previously acting as tech lead during a team transition or knowledge handover Experience or strong interest in AI coding tools and how they change how a team works We will be working together on: Stabilizing the product and making delivery efficient — across BLE mesh sensors, the mobile gateway app, the Azure backend and the Angular web app Taking technical ownership of the backend and web scope: investigating, defining and resolving complex issues, and making the decisions that influence whether the team hits its objectives Leading the decoupling of the generic IoT platform components from product-specific code, so products can be built on top of the platform instead of tangled into it — together with the client’s IoT Platform team Integrating a subscription engine so recurring subscriptions are handled properly end to end Leading the team technically: day-to-day technical direction, code reviews, quality standards, and planning and monitoring work to time and quality targets Building the team up: onboarding colleagues, keeping quality steady and supporting your team members development Facilitating collaboration between the different stakeholders and roles within the team Improving CI/CD in Azure Pipelines and deployment through the client’s Infrastructure-as-Code framework Contributing specialist expertise to solution proposals and estimates for the next steps on the roadmap Department Web Development Role Fullstack Developer (.NET + Angular) Locations Cluj-Napoca Remote status Hybrid Cluj-Napoca About RebelDot At RebelDot we enable organizations in more than 15 industries to make an asset out of custom software.
