Role Description

The Leangoogs Intelligence Network Contributor is a remote volunteer role focused on improving how AI understands different languages, cultures, and real-world situations. You get to be a certified contributor, earn recognition, and get ranked in our Network for your work.

Day-to-day tasks may include reviewing and annotating text, audio, or image data; validating AI outputs for accuracy and cultural relevance; and providing feedback on how AI systems interpret local expressions, norms, and contexts.

Contributors may help design or refine guidelines for data labeling, participate in experimental AI evaluations, and collaborate with other contributors through online tools and communication platforms. This role offers flexible involvement and is well-suited for individuals who want to support ethical, inclusive AI development while working from any location.

Qualifications

• Ability to carefully review, analyze, and annotate information, with strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written communication skills in at least one language, with the ability to clearly describe nuances in meaning, context, and tone.
• Cultural knowledge and lived experience within one or more local communities, enabling accurate judgments about relevance, appropriateness, and sensitivity.
• Comfort using web-based tools and collaboration platforms, with the ability to follow structured guidelines and provide clear feedback.
• Interest in AI, data, and technology, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and responsible AI development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet agreed-upon participation or task deadlines.
• Previous experience with data labeling, user research, linguistics, or AI evaluation is beneficial but not required.
• Open to contributors from diverse educational and professional backgrounds; formal degrees are welcome but not mandatory.
