Precision Door Service (PDS) is seeking a forward-thinking Learning & Development Field Trainer to assist in building and execution of training programs for our field teams. This is a newly created role with a clear mission: onboard and train new and existing field teams to reduce ramp time, increase productivity outcomes and deliver a world-class experience to new team members. What you will do: Support development of training strategy and execution to ensure an impactful delivery in field. Deliver a full-scale training program for field technicians, installers and salespeople. Partner with operations leadership, HR, field trainers and other counterparts to adopt best practices and tailor programs to our workforce. Execute engaging trainings and content including manuals, e-learning, hands-on workshops, videos, and assessments. Recommends and implements appropriate learning delivery modalities (e.g., classroom- virtual/ in-person, on demand, blended learning, etc.) to both facilitate and measure these approaches. Facilitates instructor-led trainings and train-the-trainer sessions. Coordinate the new employee experience by executing a consistent onboarding experience in each location. Manage and track training progress and metrics such as effectiveness, technician readiness, and productivity outcomes. Continuously refine programs based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs. Stay current on learning trends, instructional design methods, and industry-specific certifications or compliance requirements. What you should bring: 3+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development and/or Training within a field service or skilled trades industry. Proven success designing and implementing training programs that improved performance or reduced time to competency. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methods. Comfort with training technology (LMS platforms, video tools, mobile learning apps). Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable program improvements. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
