Learning Experience Architect (Contract)

Design the Future of Learning with AI We're seeking a Learning Experience Architect with 10+ years of instructional design experience who can combine learning strategy, performance consulting, AI-enabled design, and hands-on content development to create impactful learning solutions for global clients. As a Learning Experience Architect, you'll partner with clients, guide and mentor instructional designers, architect innovative learning experiences, and leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate content development and enhance learning outcomes. This is a hands-on role for an experienced learning professional who enjoys moving seamlessly between strategy, consulting, design, and execution. About the Role The Learning Experience Architect (LXA) is a senior member of our Global Delivery team, responsible for designing high-quality learning solutions that solve real business challenges. You'll work directly with clients and subject matter experts, lead learning design efforts across multiple projects, and help elevate the capabilities of a growing team of instructional designers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of learning science, business consulting, emerging technologies, and creative problem-solving. What You'll Do Design Learning Solutions That Drive Performance Architect end-to-end learning experiences across eLearning, blended learning, virtual instructor-led training, and performance support Conduct needs analyses and performance gap assessments to identify the right learning solution Design curriculum pathways, learning journeys, and multi-modal learning strategies Develop storyboards, scripts, design blueprints, and learning content that align with business objectives Translate complex concepts into engaging, learner-centered experiences Partner with Clients and Stakeholders Lead discovery conversations with business stakeholders and subject matter experts Consult with clients to clarify learning needs and recommend effective solutions Facilitate requirements gathering, project scoping, and solution alignment discussions Present learning recommendations and design approaches with confidence and credibility Mentor and Elevate Others Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to instructional designers Review learning deliverables and ensure quality standards are consistently met Share best practices and help strengthen instructional design capabilities across the team Contribute to design standards, review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives Leverage AI to Transform Learning Design Apply Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and similar platforms to accelerate learning development Integrate AI-assisted workflows into content creation, curation, research, and quality assurance processes Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and learner engagement through AI-enabled approaches Champion innovative ways of working that enhance both speed and quality of delivery Required Experience 10+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or learning development Proven experience designing complex learning solutions from analysis through implementation Strong expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning science Experience conducting needs analyses and performance consulting engagements Ability to consult with stakeholders and translate business requirements into learning solutions Experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding other instructional designers Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills AI & Technology Expertise Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools to support learning design and content development Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into instructional design workflows and development processes Proficiency with Articulate Storyline and/or Rise Working knowledge of LMS platforms and SCORM standards Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools Professional Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously High attention to detail and commitment to quality Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-focused environments Nice to Have Experience designing business simulations or scenario-based learning experiences Knowledge of learning analytics and reporting Change management or performance consulting experience Multimedia production or visual design knowledge Advanced certifications in instructional design or learning technologies Experience supporting global clients and distributed teams
