The Faculty of Nursing is looking for an instructor to teach INT D 247 (Resilience) in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027. This three credit elective course, offered to all UAlberta undergraduate students, provides an in- depth exploration of resilience and what it means to individuals and society in general. Resilience is viewed as an essential component of society to enhance the quality of life for all. The course has a number of experiential components to ensure students not only know what resilience is but to feel it in their bodies. This is a fully online asynchronous course paid at a per-course rate. The delivery platform, curriculum, course map, lecture materials, and rubrics for this course are established. The instructor is responsible for active facilitation, student support, and assessment. Teach assigned sections and deliver course content aligned with curriculum requirements Support student learning and progression through inclusive, learner-centred strategies Participate in course planning, evaluation, and instructional team collaboration Provide formative and summative feedback to students, and connect them to supports Attend teaching team meetings, co-develop assessment tools, and contribute to quality improvement Master's degree required Experience and proficiency in using Rise 360 platform or similar online responsive course delivery platform Interest and relevant education in health and wellbeing Demonstrated excellence in teaching Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, problem-solving, and learner support Familiarity with EDI-informed practices in education Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with Schedule D of the Collective Agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
