Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Legal Intake Case Analyst Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive intake evaluations for potential habitability cases, communicating with prospective clients, gathering and analyzing evidence, and determining whether cases meet the firm's representation criteria before attorney review.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong critical thinking abilities, and can efficiently manage multiple case evaluations while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Position Details

  • Fully Remote
  • Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM PST
  • Starting Pay: $6/hr
  • Annual performance-based raises

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from current and prospective clients, providing accurate information about the firm's services and intake process.
  • Gather detailed client information and accurately complete intake forms.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to obtain outstanding evidence and documentation.
  • Conduct comprehensive preliminary evaluations of potential habitability claims to determine whether cases meet the firm's intake and litigation standards.
  • Analyze client records, lease agreements, rent payment histories, inspection reports, photographs, videos, and other supporting documentation.
  • Identify habitability issues, assess case strengths and weaknesses, and determine the potential legal viability of each claim.
  • Review and organize evidence, including repair requests, maintenance records, emails, text messages, and other communications to determine whether proper notice was provided to the landlord.
  • Prepare detailed case summaries and recommendations for attorney review.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and intake team members to determine whether cases meet the firm's representation criteria.
  • Maintain organized case files, track outstanding documentation, and manage multiple active case evaluations while ensuring timely client follow-up.

QualificationsRequired

  • Law Degree is required.
  • Previous experience in legal intake, legal support.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 or higher preferred).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interviewing and client communication skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze large volumes of documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and team members.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and case management software.
  • Knowledge of California landlord-tenant or habitability law is a plus (training provided).
