We are looking for a Legal Officer (Mid-level) with a strong background in financial services regulation to join our Legal team. In this role, you will support Coinspaid's business across regulatory, licensing and commercial legal matters. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product and other business teams, providing practical legal advice on regulatory requirements, supporting licensing and authorisation projects, and handling a broad range of commercial agreements. This is a hands-on role for a lawyer who is comfortable working in a fast-moving international fintech and crypto environment, can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions, and is confident managing matters across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day legal and regulatory advice to the business, with a particular focus on financial services, payments and crypto-assets. Monitor and analyse developments in EU financial services regulation and assess their impact on the company's products, operations and legal entities. Advise on regulatory matters relating to PSD/PSD2/PSD3, MiCA, DORA, AML/CFT, GDPR and other applicable EU and national regulatory frameworks. Support licensing, registration and authorisation projects for regulated financial services and crypto-asset activities, including preparation and review of applications, policies, corporate documents and responses to regulatory authorities. Assist with ongoing regulatory obligations applicable to regulated entities and support interactions with regulators, external counsel and other professional advisers. Draft, review and negotiate a commercial agreements, with a focus on customer contracts. Provide legal support for new products, services, partnerships and market-entry initiatives, identifying regulatory requirements and legal risks at an early stage. Work closely with Compliance and other stakeholders on AML/CFT, regulatory governance and related matters. Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical legal opinions, risk assessments and recommendations for internal stakeholders. Coordinate with external legal counsel where specialist or local advice is required. Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal legal templates, policies, procedures and regulatory documentation. Requirements: 3+ years of relevant legal experience , with a strong focus on financial services, fintech, payments, banking or another regulated financial sector. Law degree or equivalent legal qualification. Strong knowledge of the EU financial services regulatory framework , particularly legislation and requirements relating to payments and financial institutions. Good working knowledge of PSD/PSD2 and the evolving PSD3/PSR framework, MiCA, DORA, AML/CFT and GDPR , as well as the ability to research and interpret other relevant regulatory requirements. Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts . Ability to analyse complex legislation and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, business-oriented advice. Experience working with multiple stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product and commercial teams. Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills. Ability to manage several matters simultaneously and work independently with appropriate supervision. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader commercial and regulatory context. Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
