Legal Subject Matter Expert (SME) - UAE Remote Legal SME role applying expertise in litigation, contracts, compliance, and IP to annotate legal data, validate AI outputs, and improve accuracy and reasoning in legal AI systems. Work Location: United Arab Emirates, remote Engagement Model: Freelancer / Independent Contractor Project Duration: 3 months (with potential extension) Work Schedule: Flexible hours, based on the applicant's availability Language Skills Required: Arabic and/or English; bilingual proficiency preferred DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking experienced UAE Legal Subject Matter Experts specializing in commercial fraud, corporate compliance, commercial law, and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating UAE federal legislation, local regulatory frameworks, commercial disputes, corporate compliance, and fraud-related legal issues. Main Responsibilities Provide expert analysis of UAE commercial, corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters. Research UAE federal legislation, emirate-level requirements, regulatory guidance, and relevant court decisions. Analyze matters involving commercial fraud, corporate misconduct, compliance obligations, and regulatory investigations. Review commercial agreements, corporate documentation, compliance policies, and regulatory materials. Annotate and validate Arabic- and/or English-language legal datasets. Evaluate AI-generated legal responses for jurisdictional accuracy and legal reasoning. Verify statutory citations and legal terminology. Draft legal summaries, memoranda, contract clauses, and structured compliance analyses. Collaborate with AI teams on prompt development and model evaluation. Role Requirements Licensed Attorney, JD/LL.M. graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or experienced Paralegal. Minimum 3+ years of relevant UAE legal practice, research, drafting, compliance, or advisory experience . Strong knowledge of UAE commercial law, corporate compliance, commercial fraud, or regulatory matters. Arabic and/or English proficiency; bilingual Arabic-English candidates strongly preferred. Strong legal research, statutory analysis, citation verification, and drafting capabilities. Familiarity with UAE regulatory authorities and legal research tools. Knowledge of DIFC or ADGM frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with Generative AI, legal technology, or prompt engineering is advantageous.
