ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're building a dedicated lifecycle function for a multi-brand DTC home textiles business, and this role owns it from day one. Retention is the highest-leverage seat in our growth plan: before we scale paid acquisition further, we need a lifecycle engine that consistently earns the second, third, and fourth purchase. This role exists because that engine doesn't fully exist yet, the flow architecture, the segmentation logic, and the deliverability discipline all need an owner who has done this before at real scale.
You will have full ownership of Klaviyo lifecycle strategy across our brand portfolio, working directly with the CEO and closely with the creative and paid acquisition functions. This is a build role, not a maintenance role, you're establishing the system that the rest of the growth plan depends on.
ABOUT US
Ecotero LLC operates five private-label brands led by DECOLURE in premium bedding and home textiles. Amazon is the mature channel at $18M+ annually across roughly 703 SKUs. TikTok Shop does roughly $4.5M and is growing. DTC on Shopify is early.
We are a 27-person distributed team. The analytical infrastructure here is unusual for a business this size: SKU-level COGS across the full catalogue, daily API pipelines into PostgreSQL, competitor tracking, and AI operational agents that produce weekly audit drafts, anomaly flags and performance reports for your review.
SCOPE OF THIS ROLE
This role reports directly to the Head of DTC. You'll work daily with the CRO/Merchandising owner and the Paid Social Creative Producer for asset needs, and closely with the Performance Marketing Manager, who depends on your cohort and LTV data to set acquisition targets.
You own email, SMS, and lifecycle strategy across brands. You do not own paid acquisition, on-site conversion rate optimization, or creative production, though you'll partner closely with the people who do. As the DTC channel grows, this role is expected to expand into managing a CRM coordinator or campaign producer; today, it's an individual-contributor build role with outsized influence on the roadmap.
WHAT YOU OWN
The complete Klaviyo flow architecture, welcome, browse and cart abandonment, checkout recovery, post-purchase, replenishment, winback, VIP, review requests, back-in-stock, and price drop, built, deployed, and continuously optimized.
The split between flow revenue and campaign revenue, with a clear strategy for growing owned, automated revenue over time.
A multi-brand campaign calendar with documented rules for which brand sends to which segment, and how often.
SMS program build-out, including consent capture, compliance, and jurisdiction-specific quiet-hours rules.
On-site list capture, pop-ups, embedded forms, post-purchase capture, and quiz or finder flows where the category supports them.
Email and SMS deliverability: domain authentication, sending reputation, new-domain warm-up, engagement-based suppression, and ongoing inbox placement monitoring.
RFM, predicted CLV, and category/brand affinity segmentation, applied consistently across the portfolio.
The suppression policy and the discipline to hold it even when short-term revenue targets are behind.
Win-back offer economics, calculated against contribution margin rather than chosen by instinct.
Post-purchase sequencing and attach strategy, where average order value and repeat rate intersect.
Repeat purchase rate, orders per customer, and 90-day/365-day LTV by acquisition channel reported unblended, and shared as the cohort pack the paid acquisition function uses to set CAC targets.
A pipeline for surfacing customer language from reviews, replies, and support threads to inform paid and organic creative.
REQUIRED EVIDENCE
Required
You have personally built and deployed full lifecycle flow architecture for a named DTC/Shopify brand generating $5M or more in annual revenue, and can speak to the specific flows, sequencing, and results.
On that brand (or a comparable one), you took email to 15% or more of total revenue, and can describe how.
You have hands-on experience segmenting and managing lifecycle programs across multiple brands or storefronts simultaneously, with documented rules for how brands and segments interact.
You have diagnosed and resolved a real deliverability problem, you can walk through the symptom, the root cause, and how you verified the fix.
You can provide a reference or verifiable artifact for your results; scale claims will be checked before a final offer.
You work independently in a remote, asynchronous-friendly environment and communicate clearly and concisely in written English.
You can commit to meaningful overlap with US Eastern working hours for standups and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred
Experience in bedding, home goods, or textiles.
Experience running lifecycle for more than two brands under one operating umbrella.
Direct experience with subscription or replenishment programs for products with longer replacement cycles.
Familiarity evaluating loyalty or referral tooling with a contribution-based business case.
Experience partnering with a paid acquisition function on shared cohort and CAC reporting.
