Our Australian client is a leading provider of commercial and architectural lighting solutions, delivering innovative lighting designs across a wide range of projects. They are seeking a Lighting Designer to support their Lead Lighting Designer with lighting modelling, AGi32 simulations, converting mark-ups into detailed lighting designs, and ensuring all designs comply with Australian Standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical lighting design experience who enjoys working on high-quality commercial projects in a collaborative and remote environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Support the lighting design team with formulating designs.
• Lighting design & support
• Assist with lighting modelling.
• Assist with converting lighting mark up into lighting designs.
• Complete all lighting design/simulation requirements in accordance with design team requirement.
• Implementing Different Australian Standards to Lighting model.

Essential

• Electronic Engineering and/or Degree in Architecture/Interior Design and/or Degree in Design.
• Understanding of drawing symbols, scales, and standards specific to lighting design.
• Able to read and interpret Architecture and electrical drawings.
• Previous experience using AutoCAD and AGI 32.
• Strong computer literacy, MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel - advanced) and PDF Editors.
• Attention to Detail.
• Able to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner.
• Self-motivated, excellent time management and planning abilities.
• Team player and self -starter, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

• 3+ years demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the lighting and/or Architecture industry
• Understanding Australian standards and regulations.
