Role Description The Lighting Estimator is a full-time remote role responsible for preparing accurate and timely lighting estimates for a variety of construction and renovation projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural and electrical plans, identifying appropriate lighting fixtures, and creating detailed bills of materials and cost proposals. The role involves coordinating with sales, project management, suppliers, and clients to clarify project requirements, obtain pricing, and ensure specifications are met. The Lighting Estimator will analyze value-engineering options, update estimates as project scopes evolve, and support the team in preparing competitive bids. This position also contributes to maintaining up-to-date pricing databases, documenting project assumptions, and assisting with project handoff to implementation teams.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience with estimating or procurement in lighting, electrical, construction, or a related field.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, estimating software, and general office productivity tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines remotely.
• Understanding of lighting products, basic electrical concepts, and industry terminology is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
• Relevant education such as a degree or coursework in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related discipline is beneficial.
