Responsible for unique or complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design. Manage Linux server infrastructure (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across all environments. Perform system provisioning, configuration, patching, and hardening. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for Linux environment. Implement Linux automation using Ansible, Shell scripting, and Python. Manage Linux security compliance and STIG implementation. Support application teams with Linux infrastructure and troubleshooting. Maintain Linux documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines. Perform log management and system performance tuning. Manage user access controls and authentication (LDAP/AD integration). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience; Master’s Degree preferred. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHSCA) or equivalent 4+ years Linux systems administration experience. Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain). Other Job Specific Skills Strong in: RHEL 7/8/9, shell scripting (Bash), package management (yum/dnf/apt). Knowledge: Ansible automation, security hardening (STIGs), monitoring tools, Apache/Nginx.
