As a Logistics Capacity & Carrier Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening our carrier network by sourcing specialized transportation capacity, maintaining carrier intelligence, supporting rate gathering, and delivering professional, responsive communication to carrier partners.
Key Responsibilities
Capacity Sourcing & Freight Placement
- Research and engage qualified carrier partners for active transportation lanes.
- Source specialized equipment, including:
- Flatbed
- Step Deck
- Heavy Haul / Heavy-Spec
- Hot Shot
- Enclosed Van
- Specialized Industrial Equipment
- Post available freight and clearly communicate shipment requirements through approved platforms and carrier networks.
- Monitor regional capacity, equipment availability, and carrier appetite to help anticipate market constraints.
- Support internal teams by identifying reliable capacity solutions quickly and efficiently.
Rate Gathering & Market Intelligence
- Request, compile, organize, and summarize carrier pricing.
- Support project bids, lane development, and immediate freight opportunities.
- Return organized rate requests with speed and accuracy to support decision-making.
- Track market trends and carrier activity to provide useful transportation insights.
Carrier Profile Management & Onboarding
- Build and maintain detailed carrier profiles, including:
- Equipment types
- Operating lanes
- Service strengths
- Contact information
- Historical performance
- Capacity availability
- Support the collection and verification of:
- Insurance documents
- Operating authority
- Safety records
- Banking information
- Project-specific compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate, searchable, and up-to-date carrier information.
Carrier Relationship Support
- Build positive relationships with carrier owners, dispatchers, and operations teams.
- Provide professional, timely, and respectful communication.
- Escalate pricing conflicts, compliance concerns, service issues, and negotiation matters to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Help position Talento's client as a preferred transportation partner.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, or operations support.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable interacting with carrier owners, dispatchers, and operations teams.
- Excellent organizational and data management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and research capabilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to gather pricing and market information within established authority levels.
