Role Summary
The Logistics and Customer Service Specialist is a key member of the logistics and customer support team, responsible for managing logistics tasks, customer orders and inquiries from initial contact through fulfilment/resolution and follow up.
The specialist is responsible for organizing and coordinating transport processes as well as daily work with coldstores. The position requires strong cooperation with customers, transporters, sales teams, technical support, and internal departments to facilitate seamless and effective handling of customer orders and transport service requests, also ensuring that all issues are thoroughly investigated, addressed, and resolved. The specialist focuses on complex problem-solving, process improvement, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and realizing logistics processes in accordance with applicable internal procedures.
- Organizing and coordinating transport processes across road and sea freight, with occasional support for air freight shipments.
- Managing daily coordination activities with warehouses and logistics service providers to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation for international shipments.
- Monitoring shipment status, identifying potential delays or issues, and coordinating solutions with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with internal departments, including Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service, as well as external Suppliers.
- Maintaining relevant data updates in SAP and other logistics systems.
- Coordinating with regulatory bodies and relevant authorities to ensure compliance with customs procedures, export requirements, and applicable international trade regulations.
- Performing other duties as required by business need or direct supervisor.
Qualifications And Skills
- Fluent English written and spoken is a must.
- Additional knowledge of German language is considered an asset.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, preferably in a fast-paced international environment.
- Good knowledge of road and/or sea freight processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach, ability to prioritize under pressure, and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
