The Role: Project Engineer We’re looking for a skilled M365 Engineer to lead and support Microsoft 365 and Azure-based projects. You’ll be part of a high-performing team that delivers technical implementations across cloud platforms, modern workplace tools, and cybersecurity solutions. This is a hybrid position: roughly 80% work-from-home, with occasional travel to client sites in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia metro area. What You’ll Do Lead Microsoft cloud projects: Exchange Online migrations, SharePoint transitions, Intune deployments, Entra ID rollouts, Teams Phone implementations. Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID). Deploy Azure solutions including AVD, Windows 365, virtual networks, and core compute resources. Implement and monitor Microsoft Defender XDR; guide remediation during security events. Support new client onboarding: network setup, system configuration, and documentation. Deploy and manage network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless APs). Develop and revise IT policies related to endpoint management and cloud security. Support escalated service desk tickets as needed. What You Bring 4+ years of experience at an MSP or in a client-facing IT services role. 5+ years in Microsoft-focused environments with hands-on experience in M365 and Azure. Strong experience with: SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Intune, Entra ID Azure Compute, Networking, AVD, and Windows 365 Microsoft Defender XDR configuration and monitoring Comfortable configuring firewalls, switches, and WAPs. Strong communication and client relationship skills. Bonus: Microsoft certifications (or working toward them), PowerShell scripting, security awareness.
