Mainframe Consultant

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and related tools, with practical experience in mainframe operations and support.
• Hands-on experience in software development for enterprise systems, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in COBOL programming and CICS transaction processing for developing and enhancing mainframe applications.
• Experience working with databases in a mainframe context, including data modeling, querying, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), version control, and change management processes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed teams and clients.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
