Responsibility

The consultant will be responsible for:

Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade z/OS operating systems and related IBM mainframe software products.
Build and configure new LPARs from scratch, including system initialization, hardware configuration, z/OS installation, customization, and environment setup.
Manage system performance, capacity planning, IPL activities, and ensure high availability of z/OS environments.
Apply system maintenance, PTFs, SMP/E upgrades, and troubleshoot complex operating system issues.
Configure and support z/OS components such as JES2/JES3, USS, RACF integration, TCP/IP, and system automation.
Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, network, security, and application teams to support production environments and disaster recovery.

Practical Information About the Assignment

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until February 2027, with a strong possibility of a 1–2 month extension.
Workload: Full-time (FTE), overlap CET timezone
Work Setup: Hybrid or remote
