We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our regional accounting function and help bring analytical rigor to our financial operations. Based in Barcelona, you will be part of a focused team of accounting specialists. You will take ownership of maintaining the accounting books for our entities in France and Spain , operating within a culture where "good enough" is replaced by "accurate and scalable". This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative generalist who enjoys working across borders, leveraging modern ERP systems, and learning from different departments. Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days from home) Reports to: Head of Accounting 3+ years of experience in an accounting role. Full professional proficiency in French and English is mandatory. Mandatory fluency in Spanish to effectively support local operations and enquiries. Solid foundational experience in general accounting principles, GL management, month-end closing, and VAT reporting. Strong knowledge of local GAAPs, especially for France and Spain. Familiarity with ERP ecosystems; experience with NetSuite and general Excel expertise is highly desirable. A true team player who is able to effectively establish strong working relationships across all levels and functions. A detail-oriented mindset with the curiosity and eagerness to understand the "big picture" of how the broader business operates. Maintain accurate accounting books and the General Ledger (GL) for our operations in France and Spain, ensuring compliance with local GAAPs. Actively participate in standardized Month-End-Close (MEC) procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy. Prepare and report local VAT, and promptly reply to any tax-related enquiries to ensure we remain 100% compliant with local requirements. Support internal and external auditors by utilizing your generalist accounting knowledge to prepare schedules and provide necessary documentation. Assist with billing activities and workflows, utilizing our established Oracle NetSuite ERP and Payflow integrations. Partner with various departments to gather financial data and understand operational processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of our workflows.
