Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Management Accountant to join the AOP Finance team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality management reporting to drive informed decision-making across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering high-quality management reporting to drive informed decision-making across the organisation. So, what goes into making that happen? Management Reporting and Analysis: Support the month-end and year end close process (including capex maintenance, payroll uploads and lease accounting) in accordance with reporting deadlines Conduct detailed monthly variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and provide meaningful commentary Prepare and deliver accurate and timely weekly snapshots and monthly management reports to the Retail business Prepare quarterly QBR reports and commentary for the DTC business Assist with year-end close processes as required Monitor financial performance indicators and identify trends, risks, and opportunities Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Analyse business performance to improve forecast accuracy and financial outcomes Financial Control and Compliance: Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting Support compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory obligations Maintain effective financial controls and governance frameworks Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies, particularly with respect to existing reporting and fixed asset processes Contribute to finance transformation and automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement across management accounting functions In return, we offer: An exciting permanent opportunity with a market leading global brand Salary + bonuses + 17.5% annual leave loading + paid parental leave Flexible hybrid work options using a ‘moments that matter’ way of working Convenient Marsden Park location in a new head office facility, closely connected to the M7, with ample free parking Free onsite gym and personal training sessions Onsite Physio services available Generous staff discount – up to 25% off wholesale! Here’s what we hope to see from you: Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in management accounting, commercial finance, or related roles Relevant tertiary qualifications, CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification Extensive proficiency and working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team in a busy environment Experience working within complex or fast-paced business environments preferred Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and commercial drivers Exceptional interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships At ASICS, we work together as one team to bring a performance mindset to life every day - Are you ready to pursue your career goals?
