Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton. Reporting to the Faculty General Manager, the Manager, Academic Programs & Student Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the Faculty's academic program administration and student services functions. The position is responsible for the effective planning, delivery, integration and continuous improvement of administrative services that support the undergraduate, graduate and post-professional programs, while ensuring alignment with Faculty priorities, University policies, accreditation requirements and applicable regulatory standards. The Manager leads a multidisciplinary administrative team responsible for academic program operations, student services, curriculum administration, experiential education support and related academic processes. Working collaboratively with the Dean's Office, Associate Deans, academic leaders, faculty members and central service partners, the position ensures administrative systems, processes and resources effectively support the Faculty's teaching mission and provide a high-quality experience for students, faculty and staff. The Manager provides leadership in organizational planning, resource allocation, process improvement, policy implementation and service delivery, while fostering collaboration across functional areas to ensure efficient, responsive and sustainable operations. Academic Operations : Provides strategic and operational leadership for the Faculty's academic program administration, ensuring effective planning, coordination and continuous improvement of academic operations. Student Services : Provides leadership for the Faculty's student services portfolio, ensuring the delivery of coordinated, student-centred services throughout the student lifecycle. Leadership and Resource Management : Provides leadership for the Academic Programs & Student Services team through effective planning, resource management and staff development. Governance, Planning and Strategic Partnerships : Provides strategic advice and operational leadership to support Faculty priorities and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners. Continuous Improvement and Organizational Effectiveness : Leads initiatives that strengthen administrative processes, improve service delivery and support long-term organizational sustainability. Leadership Accountability for Health, Safety and Workplace Culture : Demonstrates leadership in fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree in business, education, public administration or a related discipline. A graduate degree is considered an asset. Several years of progressively responsible leadership experience within a post-secondary or similarly complex organization. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary administrative teams. Experience supporting academic programs, student services, academic governance or related administrative functions. Experience leading organizational change, operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge Thorough knowledge of post-secondary administration, academic program operations and student services. Knowledge of University governance, academic policies, procedures and administrative processes. Understanding of curriculum administration, academic regulations and accreditation processes. Knowledge of human resource management principles, workforce planning and organizational design. Working knowledge of budgeting, financial management and resource planning. Understanding of relevant collective agreements, employment legislation and administrative policies.
