Role overview: To manage Business Banking risk and control activities across assigned portfolios, products and processes by monitoring risk exposures, supporting governance requirements and coordinating control management activities in order to maintain alignment with the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory obligations In this role, your key responsibilities include: Manage risk and control activities across assigned Business Banking portfolios, products and processes to support adherence to risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal governance standards Review risk exposures, challenge control weaknesses and recommend actions to support management in maintaining an appropriate control environment Monitor Business Banking portfolio risk indicators, control effectiveness measures and policy adherence to identify emerging risks and areas requiring management attention Provide analysis and recommendations to support risk-based decision making and escalation of material issues through appropriate governance forums Coordinate control reviews, testing activities and assurance assessments across Business Banking to evaluate control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement Support implementation of corrective actions and monitor progress to ensure identified control gaps are addressed Support the management of regulatory, compliance and financial crime risk requirements across Business Banking by monitoring adherence to applicable regulations, policies and standards Review compliance issues and support implementation of agreed actions to reduce regulatory and control risk exposures Manage Risk and Control Self-Assessment activities, Key Risk Indicators and risk inventories to ensure key risks are identified, assessed, monitored and reported through established governance processes Review assessment results and support development and monitoring of risk mitigation plans Prepare and review governance reports, management information, risk dashboards and portfolio monitoring outputs to provide visibility of risk exposures, control effectiveness and remediation progress Support governance committees, management forums and stakeholder discussions through the provision of accurate and relevant risk information Coordinate the resolution of operational risk events, audit findings, regulatory observations and control deficiencies by monitoring action plans, tracking remediation progress and escalating delays where required Assess risk implications arising from business changes, new initiatives and process enhancements to ensure risks are identified and appropriate controls are established before implementation Support the promotion of risk awareness, control ownership and governance requirements across Business Banking through ongoing engagement with stakeholders and employees Provide guidance and support to business teams to encourage proactive identification and management of risks and controls The ideal candidate should have the following experience At least 6 years of experience in Business Banking, Risk Management, Operational Risk, Business Controls, Compliance or Audit within Banking or Financial Services Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or a related discipline Business Banking Products and Processes Operational Risk Management Risk and Control Self Assessment Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime Controls Risk Reporting and Management Information Systems Stakeholder Management People Management What we offer: Competitive Salary.
