The Manager, Community is accountable for the reliable delivery of membership, learning, and community engagement projects, translating priorities established by the Director, Community into well-managed work plans that deliver meaningful value and help individuals and organizations deepen their participation in biomimicry. Essential Functions Percentage allocations represent annual average estimates and may shift based on funding levels, contractual commitments, and organizational priorities. Membership and Community Project Delivery (45%) Deliver assigned membership and community projects against clear objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and participation goals. Translate defined projects into detailed work plans with milestones, responsibilities, communications, and delivery requirements. Coordinate onboarding, member benefits, events, working groups, peer exchange, and other engagement activities to provide a consistent and valuable participant experience. Coordinate facilitators, contractors, volunteers, partners, and internal contributors, ensuring responsibilities and deadlines are clear. Monitor progress, resolve delivery issues within the scope of the role, and surface risks, decisions, and resource needs early. Implement member engagement and activation approaches established by the Director and track their effectiveness. Learning Program Delivery (40%) Deliver assigned courses, workshops, guided practice, and other learning programs against established goals for participation, quality, learning outcomes, timelines, budgets, and revenue. Translate defined learning projects into detailed work plans and coordinate facilitators, registration, communications, platforms, materials, delivery, and follow-up. Ensure participants receive a consistent, high-quality learning experience and that operational problems are addressed promptly. Coordinate with Inspiration to integrate relevant AskNature knowledge and resources into learning experiences. Track participation, completion, satisfaction, learning outcomes, and revenue, and use results to strengthen future delivery. Operations, Measurement, and Continuous Improvement (15%) Maintain the systems, records, budgets, schedules, and documentation required for reliable and repeatable program delivery. Track established membership, learning, financial, and participant-experience measures and provide timely reporting on results. Gather participant feedback and performance data to identify and implement operational improvements within established program direction. Provide accurate program information and results for impact, organizational, grant, and funder reporting. Document lessons learned and improve processes so successful approaches can be repeated efficiently. Coordinate with Development and Communications on member communications, event promotion, and participant engagement materials as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional background required. 5+ years of progressively responsible work in membership, community programs, adult learning, events, professional networks, or related fields. Demonstrated success managing membership, learning, community, or recurring engagement programs from planning through delivery. Background in adult learning and instructional design, including developing or improving courses, workshops, or other learning experiences. Background coordinating participant experiences involving facilitators, speakers, partners, volunteers, and other contributors. Track record using participation, engagement, member feedback, and program data to improve delivery and participant value. Familiarity with membership and community platforms, learning management systems, virtual engagement tools, and related technologies.
