Role Overview The Business Architect for ISP will play a key role in defining and evolving the business architecture, capabilities, processes, and operating model required to deliver ISP’s strategic objectives. This role will partner closely with Product, Technology, and business stakeholders to translate business strategy and product vision into clear capabilities, scalable solutions, and transformation roadmaps. The role will identify gaps and dependencies across workstreams, drive standardization and reuse, and ensure individual initiatives come together as a cohesive business solution. Key Functional Areas Strategic Thinking – Apply deep product and domain expertise, understanding of strategic integrations, and awareness of industry and technology trends to influence ISP strategy, identify opportunities, and drive platform evolution. Business Architecture & Solution Strategy – Establish the end-to-end business architecture for ISP, connecting business capabilities, processes, user journeys, data flows, and technology solutions. Define common architecture principles that enable scalable and reusable solutions across workstreams in partnership with technology. Innovation Management – Establish a structured approach to intake, assess, prioritize, pilot, and measure new ideas and solutions in partnership with key stakeholders and leadership. Product Roadmap & Planning – Partner with Product leadership to shape the large-solution roadmap, translate strategic priorities into capabilities, and establish sequencing and dependencies across Product and Technology teams. Product Excellence & Best Practices – Help evolve the Product by developing frameworks, playbooks, standards, and reusable content that improve consistency and strengthen product management capabilities. Define and maintain end-to-end business architecture for ISP, including business capabilities, processes, user journeys, data mapping documentation. Define a common business and solution approach for ECMI, ETP, and other critical cross-servicing initiatives, driving consistency and standardized end-to-end user experience. Establish common business architecture standards across ISP and guide teams toward consistent, reusable solutions, reducing one off solutions, duplication, and technology complexity. Support Big Room Planning and PI planning, helping teams align priorities, capacity, sequencing, dependencies, and expected business outcomes. Lead recurring business solution discussions across Product teams, resolving business architecture questions earlier and enabling more effective engagement with Technology. Coordinate and consolidate backend/platform dependencies and engagements, supporting prioritization for each PI. Partner closely with Technology and Solution/Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure business and technical solutions remain aligned. Identify cross-workstream gaps, dependencies, and integration points and drive resolution across Product, Technology, and business teams. Develop executive-level architecture views, capability maps, roadmaps, recommendations, and decision materials to facilitate leadership alignment. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce duplication, improve customer and colleague experiences, and increase operational efficiency. Lead Product Governance forums to drive alignment on product priorities, roadmap, cross-functional dependencies, key decisions, risks, and execution against strategic objectives. Act as a strategic thought partner to Product leadership, bringing an end-to-end perspective to complex business and technology decisions. 7+ years of industry experience across software development, product, business architecture, or transformation, including significant experience working with enterprise scale platforms. 3+ years of Product Management or Product Owner experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in business architecture, product strategy, platform strategy, or large-scale transformation. Proven track record of shaping and delivering enterprise grade platforms, including development of product strategy, vision, roadmaps, capabilities, and goals. Strong business acumen and problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically. Sufficient technical depth to partner effectively with Technology teams on platform architecture, integrations, dependencies, and solution design. Experience working across large, complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple Product, Technology, and business teams. Ability to structure ambiguous problems, establish frameworks, evaluate trade-offs, and develop clear recommendations. Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including experience influencing and working with senior leaders. Ability to translate complex business and technical concepts into simple visual models and compelling executive-level narratives. Highly organized, with strong research, documentation, and knowledge-management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
