Manager, Equity Restaurants Asset Protection

The Assets Protection Manager is responsible for providing safety, security, and risk management expertise across Pizza Hut U.S. equity restaurants. This role partners closely with operations, HR, Legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to protect team members, customers, and brand assets. This leader serves as a trusted advisor to the business—developing and implementing strategies that reduce risk, strengthen safety culture, and ensure a secure and welcoming environment across restaurants. The role requires strong field engagement, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence across a complex, multi-unit environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Safety, Security & Loss Prevention Strategy Lead and implement safety, security, and loss prevention programs across equity restaurants Identify risks and develop proactive strategies to reduce incidents, liability, and financial loss Ensure alignment with enterprise standards while adapting solutions to market needs 2. Field Partnership & Consultation Serve as a trusted advisor to operations leaders, providing guidance on safety, security, and risk mitigation Build leader capability to effectively prevent and respond to incidents Partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Risk, and Operations to drive consistent execution 3. Incident Response & Crisis Management Respond to escalated safety, security, and crisis incidents impacting team members or customers Support leaders through incident resolution, ensuring appropriate protocols and communication Manage sensitive and confidential situations with sound judgment and professionalism 4. Investigations & Compliance Lead investigations into theft, policy violations, and safety incidents using appropriate investigative techniques Partner with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement) as needed Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards 5. Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement Analyze trends and data to identify risks and inform business decisions Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders and recommend actionable solutions Drive continuous improvement through program enhancements and best practices 6. Technology & Innovation Evaluate and implement security technologies and tools (e.g., CCTV, alarms, safes, reporting systems) Leverage systems and resources to enhance safety, visibility, and operational effectiveness 7. Training & Capability Building Deliver training and coaching to operators and field leaders on safety, security, and loss prevention practices Promote a culture of safety and accountability across the organization What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day) Balance time between field engagement and strategic/administrative work Travel regularly within assigned geography to support restaurants and leaders Lead and participate in both in-person and virtual meetings Operate independently while collaborating across a highly matrixed organization Qualifications Experience 5–10+ years in assets protection, loss prevention, safety, or risk management Experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant, or similar environment preferred Experience leading investigations, incident response, and crisis management Demonstrated ability to consult and influence across stakeholders Skills & Capabilities Strong business acumen and ability to connect safety/security to business outcomes Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into action High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive situations Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a broad geography independently Ability to influence without authority and build strong cross-functional partnerships
