Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Operations Manager, Home and Building Solutions (HABS) on a permanent basis on our HABS team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba . This role requires travel of approximately 40% or more throughout Western Canada. The Manager, HABS Operations provides strategic leadership and coaches Operations Advisors and retail leaders to drive sustainable sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance performance across their designated zone through effective planning, development, and execution of business initiatives. What you’ll do: Provide strategic leadership to drive sales growth, profitability, and operational performance across Home Centre and Lumber operations within the designated zone. Coach, develop, and support Operations Advisors and Local Co-op leaders in identifying opportunities, executing action plans, and achieving business objectives. Lead operational profitability and improvement initiatives through performance reviews, financial analysis, and implementation of sustainable growth strategies. Collaborate with Local Co-ops and Home Office teams to share market insights, align strategic priorities, and ensure successful execution of programs, projects, and business initiatives. Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will work closely Operations Advisers, Local Co-op General Managers, CEOs Operational Division Managers and will have 3 direct reports, and will report into the Senior Manager, HABS Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture that is customer-centric, collaborative, empowering team members to deliver exceptional service, and drive continuous growth. The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Consumer Products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as FCL Managers, Local Co-ops, Zone Staff and suppliers. The Customers: You will demonstrate a strong customer focus by supporting Local Co-op leaders, HABS management, and staff through effective training, guidance, collaboration, and relationship building. Who you are: You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and : Have 8+ Years of relevant progressively responsible experience in retail store operations. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or Commerce. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Experienced in partnering with dealer networks and providing responsive support in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
