As a settlement administrator, we are responsible for notifying potential class members, reviewing and processing claim forms filed by individuals and entities, calculating losses, auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred and processing and distributing funds to eligible class members under the court’s direction. The Position The primary role of the Manager of Securities cases is to ensure that engagements assigned to the Senior Manager they report to within the organization are receiving the appropriate attention and direction from the Senior Analysts, Analysts and Coordinators that the Manager directly supervises. Managers are required to be subject matter experts in the projects they oversee and will be engaged in a variety of roles. Determine key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, issues, risks and outcomes. Track and manage all project related activities to ensure a successful completion. Assist with putting together and testing the Plan of Allocation.The Manager must be a team player, committed to contributing to a team environment while developing team members (both in person and in remote environments) to provide the highest quality service to clients. All Kroll employees are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the Kroll Values RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Leadership – Responsible for providing direction, support and mentorship to junior team members. Participate in the quarterly review process, provide ongoing feedback for professional development and training. Project Management - Timely and accurately executes on project deliverables and key milestones and tasks. Oversees the requirements or other mandates/milestones outlined in the relevant project’s Stipulation of Settlement, drives deadlines with timely quality outcomes, takes ownership and accountability of the overall delivery for the client. Appropriately handles escalations, with the goal of identifying the root cause and recommending solutions. Performance Management - Reviews key reports to ensure staff is appropriately utilized and performance metrics are consistently met. Ensures invoices are prepared and distributed accurately and timely while paying close attention to case budgets. Internal Collaboration - Works to meet the needs of the client while nurturing relationships (both internal and external). A role model for team building and creating an environment of continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in claim administration or closely related field as a project manager or similar experience overseeing projects through to completion in a legal or services industry. Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook with experience communicating technical business rules and requirements. Strong analysis and research skills related to Securities Products, a plus. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and time-sensitive projects, with changing priorities. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to approach a problem logically and systematically. Ability to understand the pain points of a Securities case and how to manage through them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, calm demeanor. Ability to interact with all levels of management and end-users in the organization and externally. Critical thinking skills and the ability to efficiently gather and process information in a fast-paced environment are required. Demonstrated high proficiency in in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel. Securities Experience- Preferred. Ability to formulate and test plans of allocation.
