Job Summary The Manager of Financial Systems is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and optimization of the Firm's core financial applications, including Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Chrome River, Edicom, and ARCS3. With a primary focus on front-end functionality and the user experience, this role works closely with Accounting, Billing, Collections, and other business stakeholders to ensure financial systems effectively support operational needs. The Manager serves as a key resource for troubleshooting complex issues, enhancing workflows, managing system configurations, and leading user-focused projects and system enhancements. This position also partners with IT, vendors, and financial systems leadership to deliver financial systems initiatives, improve business processes, and ensure the reliable operation of the Firm's billing and accounting platforms. Job Responsibilities • Serve as a functional administrator for Elite 3E and other financial systems, supporting Billing, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger operations while assisting Finance stakeholders with issue resolution, system configuration, and new business requirements. • Lead financial systems implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects, partnering with business stakeholders, change management, technology training, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful delivery and user adoption. • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and system utilization by analyzing recurring issues, addressing root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions that enhance the user experience. • Act as the subject matter expert for key Elite 3E functional areas, including general ledger structures, balancing processes, tax configurations, and related financial transactions. • Design, configure, test, and implement system enhancements that improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and business functionality. • Manage and prioritize financial systems support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues while monitoring trends and developing proactive improvement initiatives. • Serve as a liaison between Finance and internal/external technology partners to support financial systems, integrations, data interfaces, and related applications. • Support and execute critical financial systems activities associated with the month-end and year-end close processes. • Maintain and enhance documentation for financial systems configurations, business processes, master data, and operational procedures. • Collaborate with Accounting, Billing, Collections, and other business teams to ensure financial systems effectively support firm operations and evolving business requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Experience working with legal finance software, ideally in a professional services environment. Experience with Elite 3E required. • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL. Elite 3E SQL data schema and advanced query writing preferred. • Ability to independently resolve financial systems issues and to keep up to date on key developments. • Working knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server, sufficient to manage operational issues as they arise. • Demonstrated knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and daily operational activities. • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex issues for business leadership and legal personnel. • Ability to provide quality client service both internally and externally. Requires patience, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and discretion. • Ability to provide high-quality client service to internal and external clients in addressing administrative issues related to legal matters, using considerable tact, discretion, and persuasion to build cooperation and resolve issues effectively. Requirements: Education The position requires a bachelor’s degree in information science, accounting, finance, or business. Equivalent training and experience in the legal industry may be considered as a substitute for a degree. Experience The position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience. US Pay Range: $120,000 - $180,000: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Orange County, Waltham, and Washington DC $132,000 - $200,000: New York and San Francisco $114,000 - $170,000: Other US locations Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws.
