OVERVIEW Reporting to the Director, National Post Collection Operations, the Manager, Post Collection Material Logistics is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of residential recycling materials throughout the Common Collection System (CCS). This role ensures materials are transported effectively from Receiving Facilities (RFs) to Pre-Conditioning Facilities (PCFs) by coordinating scheduled and completed loads, monitoring load weights and capacity, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting compliance with hauling and processing agreements. The Manager works closely with the CCS Operator, service providers, RFs, PCFs, and internal stakeholders to optimize material flow, minimize disruptions, and support cost-effective and compliant operations across Ontario and other Canadian jurisdictions as required. This is a full-time position, salaried paid and requires residency in Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and monitor the day-to-day movement of residential recycling materials across the CCS network. Coordinate with the CCS Operator, RFs, PCFs, haulers, and processors to ensure scheduled loads are completed efficiently and on time. Track and monitor scheduled loads, completed loads, load weights, and facility capacity to support operational performance and reporting. Troubleshoot operational and logistics issues, including delayed pickups, cancelled loads, capacity constraints, and transportation disruptions. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement solutions that maintain efficient material flow. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of RF, hauling, transportation, and processing agreements to support compliance and issue resolution. Ensure hauling activities align with contractual requirements, operational expectations, and cost-efficiency objectives. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics, transportation, and post-collection operations. Analyze operational data and trends to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization. Provide regular operational updates, issue escalation, and performance reporting to the Director, National Post Collection Operations. Build and maintain strong working relationships with service providers, municipal partners, processors, and internal teams. QUALIFICATIONS Education Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, and experiences may be considered. Experience 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, waste management, recycling operations, or related fields. Experience coordinating multiple operational stakeholders and service providers in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of waste diversion, recycling systems, materials management, or transportation logistics is considered an asset. Knowledge /Competencies/Skills Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and the ability to communicate and apply AI technologies effectively within a business context. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and rapidly changing operational needs. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret and apply operational and contractual requirements. Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders. Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and related systems. Experience with logistics, reporting, or workflow management systems is considered an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional, self-directed, and team-oriented approach. WORKING CONDITIONS All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a Canadian home office environment. This role requires field work. As a result, there will be some variability in scheduling to accommodate operational needs. A valid driver’s license is required. PAY TRANSPARENCY Expected Compensation : An annual base salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential base salary range for this role. The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
