We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager based in Bengaluru to own the technical execution of our e-commerce platform as the primary product interface between engineering teams in India and global business stakeholders. Job Summary The Regional T&E Manager leads the APAC travel and expense program within the Global Travel & Spend Management (GTSM) team, with direct oversight of regional operations and one direct report. Based in India and covering Asia-Pacific, including China, the role is accountable for program execution, technology performance, supplier management, and sourcing in a complex operating environment. The manager partners with global leadership, regional stakeholders, and key vendors to ensure compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement, while contributing to global audit processes and program optimization. Regional Scope India, Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia Global Co-Ownership Audit processes & supplier management Direct Report Sr. Travel Specialist Key Responsibilities Regional Program Ownership & Execution Own and manage end-to-end T&E program operations for the APAC region, serving as the primary point of accountability for program performance, policy compliance, and employee experience. Act as the regional leadership point of contact for all travel, expense, and corporate card matters, engaging senior business stakeholders across APAC markets. Oversee daily travel and expense operations, including TMC oversight, OBT administration, expense platform management, and corporate card program execution. Drive employee-facing issue resolution across APAC, utilizing centralized intake and case management (Jira) to ensure timely, consistent support. Manage corporate card program operations across APAC markets, including account setup, credit adjustments, reconciliation, fraud resolution, and local card provider coordination (e.g., ICBC and regional equivalents). Coordinate with Employer of Record (EOR) partners, HR, and Payroll to ensure accurate employee onboarding, offboarding, and reimbursement workflows across APAC. Data, Technology & Platform Performance Own the performance and integrity of the T&E technology ecosystem across APAC, including the OBT, expense management platforms (Navan, Concur during wind-down, Ramp), and Oracle ERP integrations. Monitor and manage daily system operations including transaction balancing, profile updates, audit rule configurations, and regional data feed management. Lead regional platform configuration including mileage/per diem rates, document retention settings, receipt requirements, and local compliance parameters. Proactively identify and resolve technology integration issues in coordination with IT and platform vendors, minimizing disruption to regional users. Drive regional data governance, ensuring accuracy and completeness of T&E data across all platforms and reporting pipelines. Build and maintain regional performance dashboards (e.g., Tableau) tracking spend visibility, compliance rates, platform utilization, and supplier KPIs. Support global platform migration activities including Concur wind-down data archiving, audit reconciliation, and compliance documentation for APAC markets. Global Audit Co-Ownership & Compliance Serve as co-owner of global expense audit processes alongside the global GTSM team, contributing to audit framework design, policy governance, and cross-regional consistency. Lead regional audit execution for APAC — conducting regular and ad hoc expense report reviews to enforce compliance with corporate T&E policies and local regulatory requirements. Perform quarterly and routine compliance reviews across expense platforms and card programs within APAC. Contribute to the establishment of the new Navan-based audit governance model and external audit SOW (Q3), including standardization of audit controls, approvals, and compliance reporting. Conduct cross-platform audits (Q4) to identify duplicate or non-compliant expenses, review retired card programs for policy adherence, and deliver leadership reporting on findings and remediation. Coordinate with Finance and Accounts Payable to reconcile aged transactions, manage GL codes, and process payments across APAC entities. Identify, document, and escalate policy violations, anomalous transactions, and systemic compliance risks. Global Supplier Management Co-Ownership Serve as co-owner of the global supplier management framework, partnering with the GTSM global team to maintain performance standards, SLA accountability, and contract governance across the supplier portfolio. Lead APAC supplier relationships across air, hotel, ground transportation, and regional travel service categories — owning performance reviews, escalation management, and contract renewals. Drive supplier escalation resolution across APAC, serving as the final regional authority before global escalation. Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs; prepare and present supplier scorecards during quarterly business reviews. Coordinate with the global team on TMC oversight, including APAC-specific service level management, booking tool alignment, and traveler support models. Regional Category Sourcing Lead regional category sourcing initiatives across APAC, including RFP design and execution, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and program rollout. Manage hotel rate cap programs, preferred vendor negotiations, and regional pricing optimization across air, hotel, and ground categories. Partner with the global sourcing team to ensure APAC sourcing strategies align with enterprise objectives while reflecting regional market dynamics. Support offsite meeting and event contracting for APAC, including venue sourcing, hotel contract negotiation, and post-event cost reconciliation. Stakeholder Engagement & Employee Support Build and maintain strong working relationships with APAC regional leadership, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, and cross-functional teams to drive program alignment and adoption. Deliver regional training and communications to employees and business units on T&E policies, platform updates, and best practices — in formats suited to a distributed, multicultural workforce. Contribute to enterprise communication strategies including Slack, email, and internal platform updates relevant to APAC. Facilitate regional quarterly listening sessions and continuous feedback loops to improve program performance and employee satisfaction. Prepare and present quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and program performance updates for APAC regional leadership. Core Competencies Regional Program Ownership Demonstrated ability to own and manage a complex, multi-market T&E program with full accountability for operational performance, policy compliance, and continuous improvement — with minimal day-to-day supervision. Global Audit & Compliance Leadership Deep knowledge of expense audit frameworks, financial controls, and compliance best practices — with the capability to co-own audit governance at a global level while executing regional audits to a high standard. Supplier & Contract Management Proven track record managing supplier relationships, executing sourcing events, negotiating contracts, and driving performance accountability across travel and expense categories in complex regional markets. Technology & Data Proficiency Hands-on experience with T&E platforms (SAP Concur, Navan, Ramp), ERP systems (Oracle), regional card programs (Citi, ICBC and equivalents), and reporting tools (Tableau, Concur Intelligence, Cognos) — with the ability to own platform performance and drive data-informed decisions. Cross-Functional & Cross-Regional Collaboration Effective at navigating complex organizational structures, aligning global and regional priorities, and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and business units. Cultural Intelligence & Communication Strong cultural awareness and communication skills to operate across diverse APAC markets (India, China, ANZ, SEA) — adapting approach, messaging, and engagement style to local context while maintaining global consistency. Basic Qualifications (Required) Required 10+ years of experience in corporate travel management, T&E operations, or a related function, with at least 3 years in a program ownership or senior individual contributor capacity. Demonstrated experience managing T&E programs across multiple APAC markets, with an understanding of regional regulatory, cultural, and operational requirements. Proficiency with T&E platforms such as SAP Concur and/or Navan. Experience owning or co-owning audit processes, compliance frameworks, or financial controls programs. Proven supplier management and sourcing experience, including contract negotiation and vendor performance management. Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Tableau, Cognos, or equivalent). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional APAC language skills are a plus. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Experience working within a global center of excellence or shared services model. Familiarity with Oracle ERP, case management platforms, Coupa (sourcing), or UKG/Workday integrations. Knowledge of APAC-specific regulatory requirements including local tax rules, document retention obligations, VAT/GST reclaim, and duty of care frameworks. Experience supporting large-scale technology migrations or platform implementations (e.g., Concur to Navan). Exposure to Employer of Record (EOR) environments and multi-entity payroll coordination. Familiarity with regional card providers including ICBC and other APAC corporate card platforms.
