Manager, Software Engineering – Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Resolve technical problems, issues, and escalations within the development team. Stay current with technology trends and instill a continuous learning mindset in the team. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. Work closely with product teams, architects, and other stakeholders to collaborate on product requirements and roadmaps. Collaborate with all levels within the organization including senior leaders. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and perform performance evaluations. Facilitate successful completion of projects and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Manager, Software Engineering – Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or 12+ years direct, relevant experience in lieu of a degree 2+ years in a leadership role Experience with IT Engineering, Quality Assurance, and automation best practices. Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant continual development. Strong project management, problem solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written) are required. Ability to work in a fast paced, Agile (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban) environment. Strong understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives. Must be an effective oral and written communicator. Prior experience in a technical lead role required; previous supervisory experience strongly desired. Experience with agentic AI tools and their application in software engineering. Manager, Software Engineering – Preferred Qualifications: Prior insurance or healthcare background. Familiarity with healthcare data exchange, clinical workflows, and integration architectures. Good understanding of AWS (Amazon Web Services) services. Experience working with employees and contractors remotely. Ability to work with offshore engineers. Previous experience in an early-stage growth company helpful.
