#LI-DNI This role reports to the Private Equity Advisory Senior Managing Director and is critical to expanding our market share with clients and prospective clients in our New York Metro market. The individual must live in New York City. Essential Functions and Primary Duties Identify, network into, and establish relationships with deal team professionals at private equity firms, investment banking firms, and other M&A constituents Nurture and leverage existing firm relationships to expand contacts within a PE or IB group Prepare for telephonic and in person meetings by completing information sheets necessary to conduct successful calls/meetings Schedule, participate in, and lead follow up on telephonic and in person meetings Log and update all data tracking fields in SalesForce after telephonic and in person meetings Log and track advancement of individual professionals along our sales cycle continuum Use tools including PitchBook, LinkedIn etc. to navigate Send best practice emails to probe for needs where CBIZ Private Equity Advisory can deliver solutions Attend industry events as necessary to market CBIZ Private Equity Advisory and optimize brand awareness Work with Marketing to follow up on specific lead generation campaigns Present actionable business intelligence off fund news to properly stay top of mind and advance more individuals at more funds Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of new services, industry trends and competition Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess 5+ years of experience working in client service or new business development in middle market M&A Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com Proven ability to leverage personal and professional network Proven ability to establish multi-level relationships within a single firm Ability to recognize and prioritize action across multiple prospect opportunities Must be a self-starter that can work independent of daily oversight High level of maturity and professionalism while displaying tenacity Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 5 years of experience in related field 3 years of supervisory experience Must have and preserve required licenses Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Proficient use of applicable technology Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
