The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the organization’s talent acquisition function by developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract, engage, and hire high-quality talent aligned with business objectives. This role oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, leads and develops the talent acquisition team, partners with business leaders to anticipate workforce needs, and drives continuous improvement in recruiting processes, technology, metrics, and candidate experience. The Manager, Talent Acquisition ensures hiring practices support organizational growth while promoting exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team to deliver high-quality recruiting services and achieve departmental objectives Serve as a strategic talent advisor, elevating Talent Acquisition's voice and influence in hiring decisions to ensure the organization attracts and selects top talent aligned with business objectives Supports the development and execution enterprise recruiting strategies aligned with workforce planning and organizational priorities Partner with business leaders and Human Resources to understand current and future talent needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, compliance, and a positive candidate experience Establish recruiting priorities, allocate resources, and monitor workload across the Talent Acquisition team Manage a portfolio of requisitions, participate in recruiting for key leadership and/or difficult-to-fill positions to ensure critical hiring needs are met Develop and maintain recruiting metrics and dashboards, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, candidate experience, and recruiting costs Analyze labor market trends and recommend recruiting strategies that improve the organization’s ability to attract top talent Manage relationships with external recruiting partners, search firms, universities, and other talent sources while optimizing vendor utilization and spend Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity requirements Partner with compensation team and HR leadership to develop competitive hiring strategies and offers Identify opportunities to improve recruiting technology, workflows, and operational efficiencies, including applicant tracking system optimization Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership regarding hiring activity, trends, and recruiting performance Perform other duties as assigned Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required Experience: 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience, including experience with full-cycle recruitment 5+ years of talent acquisition leadership experience 3+ years of talent acquisition experience within a property & casualty insurance carrier Experience working in a large, complex financial services company preferred (1000+ employees) Experience developing recruiting strategies for professional, technical, and leadership positions Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, recruitment technologies, and talent analytics Experience working collaboratively with senior leaders and hiring managers in a consultative capacity Knowledge, skills & abilities: Thorough knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, employment laws, and recruiting compliance requirements Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills Ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders across all levels of the organization Strong consultative, influencing, and relationship management skills. Excellent interviewing and talent assessment capabilities Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR technology, and Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Location: This position may be full-time in a UFG facility, hybrid (flexible between office and home) or fully remote. Pay Transparency Statement: UFG Insurance is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $123,000 - $164,000 annually, which represents the typical range for new hires in this role. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, geography and market data.
