Managing Director, Founder Advisory
Workplace type: Open to Negotiation - Remote / Hybrid / On-site
Job type: Flexible - Full-time/ Part-time/ Fixed-term
Our Client is looking for a senior practice leader to work with founder-led organisations as they scale. This role sits at the intersection of executive coaching, leadership advisory, and practice leadership, helping founders and senior teams improve decision quality, strengthen governance, and create greater execution coherence across growing businesses.
This is not a general corporate Managing Director role for the whole company. It is a focused leadership role within our client’s executive coaching and founder advisory practice, with responsibility for shaping high-value client work, leading senior coaching and advisory engagements, and helping founder-led organisations build the leadership systems required for sustainable scale.
The Client or Stakeholder Problem You’ll Help Solve
Founder-led organisations often reach a point where growth creates new complexity. Decision-making slows. Accountability becomes uneven. Leadership teams become misaligned. Execution starts to fragment across functions, geographies, brands, or distributed teams.
This role exists to help clients navigate that transition with greater clarity, stronger governance, and more coherent leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with founders, CEOs, and senior leadership teams to improve how decisions are made, how priorities are translated into action, and how leadership systems support scale without losing speed or intent.
Why Your Background Matters
You may come from executive coaching, founder advisory, organisational consulting, leadership development, business transformation, or a senior operating role with a strong coaching track record.
What matters most is your ability to work credibly with founders and executive teams in complex, founder-led environments. You should understand the realities of scaling organisations where leadership maturity, governance, and operating rhythm need to evolve together.
You should also be able to connect behavioural leadership development with practical organisational outcomes such as:
