Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin–English Interpreter. The interpreter will facilitate clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking parties during virtual calls, meetings, and conferences. Daily responsibilities include listening carefully to spoken content, rendering messages faithfully in the target language, and maintaining confidentiality and neutrality. The role also involves preparing by reviewing relevant terminology, using company tools and platforms, documenting key session details, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure service quality. The interpreter may support medical and legal interpretation assignments, adhere to industry and client-specific protocols, and participate in ongoing training offered by LanguageBees.
Qualifications

• Strong language proficiency in Mandarin and English, including advanced listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated interpreting capabilities, such as consecutive interpretation, note-taking, and accurate rendition of meaning and tone.
• Familiarity with professional terminology in fields such as medical, legal, or business contexts is highly beneficial.
• Proficient in using digital communication tools, remote call center platforms, and basic office software.
• Excellent customer service, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and neutral demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity principles.
• Prior experience as an interpreter, translator, or in a related language services role; certification or formal training in interpreting is a plus.
