Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin Interpreter. In this position, the interpreter will facilitate clear and accurate communication between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking parties, primarily via phone or virtual platforms. Daily responsibilities include listening carefully, interpreting spoken information in real time, and conveying messages in a culturally appropriate and professional manner. The interpreter will handle assignments in areas such as customer service, medical, legal, and business interactions, following established protocols and confidentiality standards. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of calls, adhering to quality and compliance guidelines, and participating in periodic training and performance reviews.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English, with excellent listening and speaking abilities and accurate real-time interpretation skills.
• Experience in telephone or remote interpreting, virtual call center environments, or customer support settings.
• Knowledge of professional terminology and protocols in medical, legal, or business contexts is highly beneficial.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow compliance standards, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and neutrality.
• Solid time management, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Comfort with technology, including VoIP platforms, call center software, and basic troubleshooting of audio or connectivity issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in languages, interpretation, translation, or related fields is an advantage.
• Availability to work full-time, with flexibility to cover different shifts or time zones when needed.
