Compensation

Pay rate: $0.20 per minute of TalkTime

Equivalent: $12 USD per hour of talktime

• Training duration: 5 days (unpaid)
• Daily training time: 1–2 hours
• Candidates who pass the assessment will proceed to start working.
• Training will begin from September 2026 onwards.

As a consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate accurate and effective communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak Mandarin.

• Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other healthcare-related information.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.
• Provide interpretation services through both OPI (audio) and VRI (video).

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards in medical interpretation.

• Fluency in Mandarin and English languages:
• Previous interpretation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare-related conversations.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
