KalamCX, a Future Group company, is seeking experienced Mandarin-English and Cantonese-English interpreters to join our growing remote team. We provide high-quality simultaneous interpretation services across critical sectors, including healthcare, legal, business, and government services.

Role Summary

We are looking for bilingual Mandarin-English and Cantonese-English professionals with C1-level English proficiency to join our team as Remote Simultaneous Interpreters (RSIs). This fully remote opportunity is ideal for experienced interpreters who can work business hours aligned with Asia-based clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, real-time simultaneous interpretation between Mandarin/Cantonese and English during live sessions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the Interpreter's Code of Conduct.
• Use industry-specific terminology accurately, particularly in healthcare and business settings.
• Ensure complete message accuracy without additions, omissions, or alterations.
• Participate in internal training, assessments, and certification programs.
• Maintain professional communication and presentation standards during video interpretation sessions.

Qualifications

• Native Mandarin or Cantonese speaker with C1-level English proficiency.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI), Video Remote Interpretation (VRI), or Simultaneous Interpretation.
• Medical interpretation experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is required; legal interpretation experience is an advantage.
• Interpretation certifications such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, or equivalent are considered an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent listening, note-taking, memory retention, and communication skills.
• Strong cultural awareness, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.

Technical RequirementsInternet

• High-speed wired internet connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted during working hours).
• Minimum 10 Mbps download speed.
• Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed.

Computer

• Windows 10 or later.
• Intel Core i3 6th Generation processor or higher.
• Minimum 8 GB RAM.
• Computer configured in High Performance Mode.

Equipment

• Wired USB noise-canceling headset with built-in microphone (Bluetooth devices and adapters are not permitted).
• External Full HD webcam.
• Quiet, professional workspace with adequate lighting and a dark grey background preferred.
