Is this job info correct?

QA Tester (Manual) — Product Quality & Usability Part-time to start, with a path to full-time · Remote / flexible time zone · Reports to Product About the Role We ship fast across multiple products, and it's easy for small UI, UX, and data issues to slip through — the kind of thing that's too minor for Support to flag but still hurts the user experience. We're looking for a manual QA tester with strong product instincts to dig into our app, find what's broken or just "off," and help us build a real QA process from the ground up. This is fundamentally a usability and product-quality role, not a deeply technical one. You don't need to be an engineer — you need a sharp eye for good UI/UX, the patience to test every path in an app, and the judgment to know when something "technically works" but is still a problem for users. How the Engagement Works Phase 1: Deep, end-to-end manual QA of Search functionality — every feature, edge case, and path, with a full written report of findings. Phase 2: If Phase 1 goes well, expand testing to the rest of the platform. Starts part-time (roughly 10–20 hours/week) with a flexible, self-directed schedule — you don't need to overlap time zones with the team, just be available for occasional syncs. If the work proves valuable, this converts into an ongoing full-time role, continuously testing new releases as we ship. What You'll Do Run comprehensive manual testing across the app — every feature, edge case, and user path Find bugs and usability issues, assign each a priority, severity, and log them in Linear with clear repro steps, screenshots, and videos. Evaluate the app through a UI/UX and product lens — flagging things that "work" but aren't good for the user, not just outright breakages. Spot-check data quality: test filtering, sorting, and search results for accuracy (e.g., noticing when a query returns an implausible number of results). Use browser DevTools to inspect network calls and investigate performance issues like slow or repeated component rendering. Use Postman to test API endpoints and calls where relevant. Share findings directly with the product team and be available to answer questions about what you found. What We're Looking For Strong product instincts and a good sense of what makes for solid UI/UX — this matters more than technical depth. Hands-on manual testing experience — comfortable doing thorough, methodical, end-to-end exploration of a product. A critical, detail-oriented mindset: you notice when something looks "off," even if you can't immediately say why. Experience with browser DevTools (inspecting network requests, diagnosing rendering/performance issues). Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools. Experience testing databases — filtering, sorting, and verifying data accuracy. Comfortable working independently and self-managing a project with only periodic check-ins. Nice to Have Interest or experience testing AI-based products and features. Experience with GTM/sales tools such as Apollo, Clay, or Instantly — helpful for spotting data-quality issues in search and lead results. Test automation experience (e.g., Playwright) for eventually automating regression testing — a plus, but not required or the focus of this role.
